STP / ETP Tank Waterproofing

Professional basement and foundation protection systems designed to prevent water penetration and structural dampness.

Surface Preparation
• Cleaning: Thoroughly Clean The Surface To Remove Oil, Dirt, Grease, And Loose Debris Using Wire Brushes Or Mechanical Grinding.
• Repair: Identify And Treat Honeycombs, Voids, And Protrusions. Cracks Should Be Widened Into A V-Groove And Filled With Non-Shrink Mortar.
• Coving/Angle Fillet: Apply 50mm X 50mm Angle Fillets At The Junction Of The Floor Slab And Vertical Walls Using Polymer-Modified Mortar To Eliminate Sharp 90-Degree Corners Where Stress Accumulates.
Joint Treatment & Grouting
• Injection Grouting: Fix PVC Nozzles At Construction Joints And Inject Cement Slurry Mixed With Non-Shrink Admixtures At Approximately 40 PSI To Seal Internal Voids.
• Waterbars: For New Constructions, Install Hydro-Swelling Waterbars (E.G.,) In Construction Joints Before Casting The Next Concrete Pour.

  1. Coal Tar Epoxy:Once The Waterproofing Is Cured, Apply Two Coats Of Coal Tar Epoxy Or Polyurea. This Is Vital To Protect The Concrete From The Corrosive Nature Of Sewage, Acids, And Sulphates.
  2. Curing:Allow The System To Air-Cure For At Least 7 Days Before Commissioning The Tank.
